What do TV shows like “HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER”, “CHICAGO CODE”, “PUSHING DAISIES”, “HARRY’S LAW”, “THE MIDDLE” and movies like “NO RESERVATIONS” (2007) and “ONE FOR THE MONEY” (2012) have in common? Our today’s WOW!!! artist: Ken Bailey.
Bailey’s focus is vintage advertising style featuring dogs and cats. This approach has made him one of today’s most popular pet artists. Ken Bailey’s art is a favorite of Hollywood set designers, but he has made his work accessible to all people. Like today’s painting, “Fox Lollipops”.
As Ken told us:
“This painting was a commission for a customer who has two Fox Terriers. I generally work with the customer and collaborate on a product that makes sense for the dogs and the client. In this case, the two dogs were described as sweet and “silly”. Lollipop came to me since it’s kind of a “silly” old term. Fox Terriers also have high levels of energy and are fun loving dogs which inspired the two catchphrases. “
